London trip

I went to London on Saturday for some socialising and culture. I knew the Lord Mayor's Show was on but not how busy the streets got! I started out across some fairly deserted roads, and as I passed the Royal Courts of Justice I came against what the show running order called float 145. City of London Cleansing Department. A dozen shiny vehicles, with whirling brushes and jets of water. Later on I found the crowds. The Millennium Footbridge was packed

and it took me 9 minutes to walk across it. It was a mellow crowd, though.
