400! I was so relieved when I spotted it in Edinburgh, I don't remember seeing a car number 400 before. I'm reasonably confident about the next stretch, there are several cars in the low 400s down the end of Newmarket Road, and I've seen 401s recently in Cambridge and London so I know them to exist.
I'll try not to post about this again till 500 :-)

At this rate I'll be finished by next weekend!
Excellent CNPS run today. I was rewarded for my virtue (well, hatred of waiting around at bus stops) of walking home by seeing a 389 in the car park - and a 390 just a few cars along from it! I've seen a 391 near Sainsbury's so set off home along Mill Road to spot it, saw a different 391 parked en route then a 392 driving along the road! On days like this I imagine I might finish this thing.

CNPS
I had the epochal moment today, where after years of tracking down car number plates sequentially you finally get to spot your own car :-)
I started the day looking for a 305 - which I spotted when walking to lunch. Then on the way back from the pub this evening we passed a 306. With great indulgence,
major_clanger took me on a detour down Perne Road, where I had noted a 307 and 308 previously parked: and they were there again today, ready for spotting! Before heading off to Hills Road where I'd seen a 310, Simon pulled over to the side of the road so I could get out and spot our car's 309. And then I spotted the look on Simon's face as I spotted his car number plate...

Double Century
Today I spotted Number 200 in CNPS. I forget exactly when I started this game, but I know it is a lot slower than when I have played it in the past. I've never got to such a high number before, and I might as well continue despite it being most terribly, terribly sad. Will I reach 999 before all the old-style car number plates disappear?
Am suffering a bit with my back, having eating some dodgy potato salad at a barbecue (dodgy in that it contained creme fraiche or sour cream or something). I'm not dead, but my back is noticeably more fragile; I cannot bend for long enough to fill or empty the washing machine, and when I went clothes shopping I was only able to try on three items before it got too painful. Bah. I am trying to treat it kindly, and hope it will be strong again by Thursday for the big flyout!
