Phone a/ f/r/i/e/n/d/ your mum
I called Simon's Mum, but her line was busy.
I picked up the phone to try again a few minutes later, and found the line bleeping at me - in the 15 seconds I spent trying to call her and find her engaged, she'd called me and found me engaged, and left a message on the 1571 service.
I called her back, then went to delete the 1571 message. Which by this point had been joined by a message from my mother, who had phoned and found me engaged...
All mothers now spoken to, and no messages remaining. Phew!
