Had some rather good times lately.
Wednesday was dinner with Naomi WINOLJ at The Crayfish Restaurant and Oyster Bar. Gorgeous nosh: the hot garlic oysters were a mouthful of heaven (I only had one, I sometimes get ill effects); the scallops were a mouthful of heaven; and the baby crayfish salad was absurdly complicated to eat (but good if on diet - plenty of exercise for very small amounts of food).
Friday
major_clanger came home, and we went for cocktails at Frankie & Benny's and then to see Spider-Man 2. It was great fun. I shouldn't sound so surprised to say this, but its makers have obviously read and loved the comics. And J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson is superb!
Saturday we have spent a day in London, looking at furniture (we were committing serious nesting behaviour)and having lunch at Wagamama (yum). Then went to buy me a Peel Chair, though at a cheaper price and with a 10% discount (which was nice). I'm having it in dark red. I first sat in one about 9 months ago and it was sooooo comfortable. My bum was not disappointed on my return visit. I grin a lot when I sit in that chair. And soon, It Will Be Mine! :-)
Off in a few minutes to see Ross Noble - Noodlemeister at the Corn Exchange. Way-hey!
