Could the day start getting better, please?
It was always going to be a hectic one, with two sets of workmen coming, Concussion flyers to get copied, stamps to be bought, PRs to be posted, lace-making class, finishing off a RPG character, and going out at 6pm for an hour's putting captions to Captain Tartan photos before gaming. I woke up knackered, as the previous two days had also been hectic.
This was at 7:30am, as the first fixing man was going to arrive then. He is not here yet. As I've had to wait in for him, I've not been able to get out to do the copying for the stuffing and posting. At 10am I found Ben Gerbil had died (the old, sick one). He was still warm. At 11am Naomi dashed out to a meeting. At 11:05 she dashed back: her car window has been broken and a bag stolen, with her car service history and second best pair of boots. The car only got back from the garage last night after having a scrape repaired.
The best thing to happen today was Brownie the Rescue Hamster considerately not escaping. [If he had escaped, he could have rescued himself, har har har]. I had been changing his water bottle when Naomi returned with the news, and with the switch of attention focus I forgot to replace his tank lid. Luckily, when I came back 20 minutes later, he was still in bed. Phew!
Ok, vent over. Now back to your regular scheduled hectic task-juggling.
