Spiking my Drinks
If you get to the shop which sells Diet Vanilla Coke just as it closes, and go somewhere else to get Diet Coke-flavoured Coke instead (or should that be Diet Diet-Coke flavoured Coke?), and get a bottle of mead and pour the two together, it is very nice. If a vodka and Coke is a Black Russian, would this be a Black Celt? And would a mead with blue Curaçao be a Celt in Woad?
I have been working long and hard on the Concussion ReadMe, finally getting it to the printer this arvo, and felt I should instead work on trying to MeadMe this evening. This is much easier, and I can multi-task by watching no-brain TV and feeding con badges through the laminator. I am disappointed that my Word Fu was not strong enough for the ReadMe job; I had to sully my technique by adding Adobe Fu and printer Fu. ( wittering about Word irritations, and a microbiological metaphor ) But the printer was happy in the end and we will have a ReadMe and no one will have to get nailed to a tree.
Tomorrow we have dinner with friends of Si's from Uni, who are looking after the hamster while we're in Glasgow.
