Work finished at a suitable time for me to walk up to Castle Mound and go comet-spotting. Unfortunately the clouds thickened - there was a promising-looking gap at one point but it closed up and I left for home.
I've not been up there before, so that was a reason in itself for going. The view is good (but not as good as the view from hills and mountains), and there were plenty of interesting cloud formations to watch as they turned pink and blue and purple, and skidded past each other. But boy, was it windy. I had to lean into the wind to keep from falling, and try not to get caught out when it dropped suddenly. It's knackered my skin, so I need to go and slap on a pint or two of moisturiser.
But it was lovely to come home and treat myself to chocolate porridge after 15+35 minutes of walking :-)
