A Bug's Life

#1. Life is enriched by the arrival of a cold. Just a bit coughy/sniffly/headachey, but enough to keep me up at night after being woken at 03:30 by a chap in the street loudly berating his friend for his lack of consideration for others.

#2. I can bend the keyboard of my Eee with my nose! When I lie in bed, the tiny Eee perches quite happily on my chest. As I bring it closer to my face (I've been reading lots of PDFs of scientific papers in small type and in a layout not optimised for screen reading) the keyboard bends! It's doing so quite alarmingly even now. When I close my left eye I see the left side of the keyboard sloping straightly and a great nose silhouette blocking the right side of the keyboard; when I close my right eye, vice versa. When I close both eyes, the keyboard disappears! When I open both eyes, the nose disappears and the keyboard looks bent! Okay, it's in an optical illusion sort of way rather than an actual physical way, but it entertained me for, um, far less time than this took to type,
