Loved parts of this, laughed with and at parts, really not keen on the shooting/killing bits. Some great lines had us laughing our heads off, I only wanted to shout at the screen once in feminist ire, but RDJr cannot solder - he wields the iron as if it were a paintbrush. Dab dab dab! Um, no. Nice cameo from Stan Lee, and worth staying to the end of the (rather long) credits. Now I want to go watch The Rocketeer and Sky Captain again. Not that I'm becoming my own cliché, oh no...

Got home to find the cats still ignoring me, and having hardly touched their wet food (but eating plenty of dry kibble). This is unusual behaviour, and I can but trust they know what they're doing.

EDIT: Next night, two cats on the bed. This seems happier.

That was a darn good walk this morning. Up Newmarket Road after my haircut to try to find the place for Tai Chi next week (not quite sure I managed to), past the airport with tiny happy planes and happy people going to fly them in the sunshine. Route 51 of the National Cycle Network runs from the Park&Ride down to the river, along a field and across Stourbridge Common, parts of which were full of buttercups. Trees, sun, grass, flowers, birds, happy Bridget. There were lots of serious rowers out this morning, though the first I saw of them from my vantage point across the field was a row of heads appearing to slide across the grass.

Borders sold me some juggling balls, Tesco sold me a great deal of fruits and vegetables. Marks & Spencer didn't sell me a plain black belt because they reckoned I was size XL and the only belt they had in that size was silver with diamante. Evans also didn't sell me a plain black belt because they reckoned I was size S and the only belts they had in that size were white canvas. But you'll all have heard this rant before ;-) Anyway, I have juggling balls and sunshine and a sharon fruit.

Anyone want to come see Son of Rambow at Cambridge Cineworld on Sunday at 20:30? I do want to catch it before it goes out of the cinemas, and I don't seem to do any terribly productive revision by that time in the evening. And you all have jumped up and down and squee'ed a lot. [livejournal.com profile] frandowdsofa, when you said I should take Coke and Space Dust, did you mean together??
