They're not so good at extending ladders, but I had a vivid recollection of seeing this very ladder extending into this very loft and was blowed if I was going to let a little thing like me being 5'4" stop me from duplicating this configuration.
I'm going up ... I may be some time... (yes with sensible shoes, yes I'll be careful, no I won't lift anything too heavy)
EDIT: My, it was toasty warm up there. A few surprises of things I'd forgotten we had, a surprise box of Doctor Who magazines which I'm sure we never had, four boxfuls of clothes heaped on the bed (there might be a giveaway in the offing) but I've not found my posh blue frock. Did I give it away after all? Further delofting will have to wait until there is someone to stand below and catch boxes.
