[livejournal.com profile] major_clanger came round this morning, and we had a productive session sorting out the non-fiction books and kitchen stuff. I can now clear some shelves for new housemate T and there will be a list of unwanted books coming up here tomorrow. Then off to The Wrestlers for lunch (chicken panang, om nom nom) with [livejournal.com profile] aardvark179 and [livejournal.com profile] alex_holden. Quite wore me out, I'm still a bit under the weather. The Museum of Steam and Industry was close by, for a spot of post-prandial high voltage electronics hobbyism courtesy of the weekend's Teslathon. The home-made tesla coils were impressive, and quite loud, but the range of exhibits wasn't as wide as the previous year I went. And sadly my digital camera and/or my late photography skills weren't up to capturing the images I wanted. Watching the discharges was interesting, as the voltage was turned up they seemed to branch more as their forks flickered across the room.

Sorting II dealt with the fiction, the board games, the big box of miscellaneous cables, and the whisky. MC mostly gets the good stuff, I mostly get the cooking whisky - but I have no recipes! Then dinner at pub with [livejournal.com profile] ms_cataclysm and R and A again, thanks to R's pub quiz skills winning a meal voucher. Tonight's high voltage electrics was the neighbour with a live band in a marquee. They stopped shortly before midnight but I can still hear partiers belting out "Whoooah - fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round." Luckily, without live mics.

Tomorrow I shall endeavour to start a worthy habit of getting up at 7:30am. *goes to turn clocks back*
