A Bug's Life

Incy Wincy bugshaw climbed out of bed.
There's snow in the garden - "Goodness!" bugshaw said.

Except that there will be much cleaning and tidying, as I've hardly touched it this week.

On Saturday I went to the Institute of Contemporary Arts with nallac for their Comica exhibition. cleanskies was there, and a handful of people I remembered from the UKCAC crowd of 1993 or so at stalls selling their comics. I recognised Captain Courageous (but didn't remember his actual name till some five minutes later). He struggled to place me till he remembered my Beast from XMen costume, he hadn't recognised me not being covered head to toe in blue fur. I might have bought 14 comics, and this entry might have taken over an hour to write because I kept dipping into them. Ratties! Belly dancers! Odd tales of Lee Kennedy's childhood! It seems that the best way to get Bridget to buy a comic is to put a drawing of a robot on the front, ideally one that looks like it was drawn by a 5-year old. Comics covered in fake fur with buggly eyes! Comics in tea bags! Fabulous hand-finished artifacts!

Later that day was drinks with swisstone and a bevy of fabulous people, including adela_terrell's boots. Excuse me while I upload a photo of them.

I cleaned the entire house today, from top to bottom, and everything in it! Just the gerbil house, unfortunately the rest is still to do but the gerbils at least are happy confused. So is housemate, as I moved some furniture.

I've had no caffeine for 24 hours and I feel awful, headache, bit of nausea. On Monday/Tuesday I'm getting measured by Medical Science and they want me to stay off the caffeine for the sake of accurate basal metabolic rate measurements. I'll have to try to stay relaxed and calm and not climb the walls begging for coke.

EDIT: And I shan't watch television while ironing, because the television has stopped working. It just seems dead. It was fairly old.
