Like many people, we were sent home from work early today because of worries about travel home if the snow got worse. I have a laptop with some work on it - it's so large, I'm used to my little Eee but I have to move my fingers around a lot to type on this monster! I've been waiting to finish a report, just needing data from two more places. This morning I got sent two spreadsheets, and was asked to put them into the report. "Yippee!" I thought, "nearly finished!" but they aren't the missing data sets, they're replacements for some earlier ones. :-(
Doing my evening commute in the middle of the day has thrown me; I got home and wanted supper immediately :-) Well, I wanted hot chocolate, and cheese, but made do with toast and lime marmalade (it's that kind of a day) and an illicit Daim bar. Mmmm..... Still, there's no evening classes tonight so I can be a bit more flexible.
On the happy side, I did find my CD eventually. I'd been looking for it on and off for a week. I found it under some sheets, and think I could perhaps invest some time in tidying up.
Have not tried taking gerbils out to experience Snow, but did see a blackbird come in to land on a thick patch and sink up to his neck! He looked a little nonplussed.
