Holiday is good; if there were the same Red/Amber/Green alerts set on the bugshaw as there are on my work, the work/life balance one would be in the amber at last and trending towards the green. 'Tis a pity about the weather - I'd had idle thoughts of Doing Something to the garden (possibly just sitting out in it with a book), but this drenching is too frequent. Hmm, could pitch a tent and pretend I'm at a music festival :-) And is there going to be a good day to see The Tempest in the open air? Any day should do, as long as I wear my Guernsey and a stout Sou'Wester.
I've done my first BookMooching, with a stack of Harry Potters ready to post. It took me a long time to get round to reading the last of the series, but once I did it broke the spell and I don't need to keep the copies any more. I'm often like that with a series; it took years for me to see the last Star Trek (original series) episode, but once I did I stopped feeling the desire to revisit the other episodes I'd watched and rewatched over the years. (I do still have a large box of videos in the garage in case I change my mind).
