bugshaw at 09:15pm on 09/11/2004Yes, we're getting another rodent! I collect him on Wednesday. Brownie is a rescue hamster that I saw in The Blue Cross's weekly feature in the local paper. He had been neglected, and is the only hamster in a facility full of cats. He is 18 months old (typical lifespan is 2-3 years), nervous of being handled, and he squeaks and squeals. I often wondered what sort of person would adopt a pet based on these local paper ads. It turns out that it's me.
