Bug for TAFF - TAFF for Bug!

I'm just arrived at [livejournal.com profile] purplecthulhu's Cthulhu Towers after a long day at Ploktacon pi - I have won TAFF, and am delighted and currently overwhelmed!
I would like to thank: James for putting so much effort into the race (there was a huge turnout, 290+ votes were cast); my fellow candidates, Sparks and 1/2r, for a fine race; my nominators, my supporters, the League of Fan Funds, and all the voters.

I look forward to coming to the US in July, and visiting as many people as I can!

Thanks again to everyone.

I am made up for you.

If I could mock up a Sun front page I'd do something that said @IT WAS THE FANZINE WOT WON IT!', but I'm sure you'd have won anyway.

Looks like I backed a winner for once! Congrats Bug, wish I'd been there today.

Ooh, well done! :-)

Congratulations. I trust you will use your new powers for good.

It was a terrific fanzine, though.

Hey, great.

(And 290+ votes is no small number - I hope you didn't take all of them yourself, that'd have been greedy.)

w00t - congratulations!!

I am very, very pleased for you! I hope that there will be TAFF reports on your LJ, too...?

[identity profile] randy-byers.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Congrats, Bug. Hope we don't have to twist your arm to see you in Seattle! You'll definitely be on the West Coast at one point!

Congratulations from Jerry and Suzle!

I just released a PR to the known fannish universe, or at least to those we have email addresses for....

I'll be getting in touch with you soon.

Even if it was collated with its page order all over the place.

I jest, I jest. I'm very glad for you, Bug, and you go have a fab time!

Fantastic! Hope you don't mind we started celebrating early.

Looked like the right decision to me! Jolly good show.

Even if it was collated with its page order all over the place.

Mine wasn't.

Curious. Maybe my copy got blocked by my "bulk mail" filter.

I doubt I'll see you since Denver is off the fan trail, but congratulations. Good luck and all!

Congratulations.

I will not be there myself but I am saving up for Yokohama in 2007.

Even if it was collated with its page order all over the place.

Sorry if that was the case. I thought I'd caught all the mistakes.

Doing my own printing and collating again reminded me why I don't do my own printing and collating any more.

I think the credit for that goes to [livejournal.com profile] voidampersand for laying it out, [livejournal.com profile] bohemiancoast for a terrific cover, and of course to [livejournal.com profile] bugshaw, for writing most of it in the first place.

Vast congratulations from the crowds here at WisCon, where it's 2:22 a.m.!

[identity profile] bohemiancoast.livejournal.com 2006-05-28 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, it made me all nostalgic. The passing of paper fanzines means that we've lost the joy of wondering what page order the fanzine ought to be in and whether it would make more sense that way...
