Good for you. I find it no difficulty at all to churn out prose on books I have read, or world politics, or indeed books I have read about world politics, but I am insanely envious of those who can do the same with made-up stuff. I tried the NaNoWriYe scheme a couple of years ago but got fewer than 2000 words into it. Do keep us posted on how it goes.
