Resistance is useless!

Have soldered resistors. Seemed to work okay. Just as well, as I don't have a solder sucker. Soldered left-handed due to suboptimal light/worksurface/power point configuration - also seemed to work well! Circuit board has a dozen tiny resistor legs sticking out of underneath. Have not yet managed to find wire clippers in our many boxes of toolery. I fear they are in the cold, dark garage behind many boxes of books.

Hmmm. I think they're in the black toolbox that opens out to have lots of drawers and small compartments (looks like an extremely fat briefcase).

They are - excellent! (But I do need to buy a solder sucker. I have created textbook examples of the three types of dry joint (but only one of each!))

You're in luck. I should have one around somewhere but I also have a lot of the solder wick stuff that I found cheap. Do you want some of those as well?

Thanks, but I've bought one now (only £2.95) so I could get on with the project. And it looks like I will run out of things to solder before I run out of solder!
