Today the hamster was agreeable to being picked up and then had a bit of a wander over my hands, without trembling in terror and making a desperate leap for home. This is good :-)

Trapped ... by a hamster
A WOMAN had to be rescued by firefighters when she chased her runaway hamster into a room at her Sheffield flat - and became trapped.

After escaping from its cage, the pesky pet scarpered into the bathroom and the owner followed in hot pursuit.
But when the door closed behind her she realised she wouldn't be able to get out as there was no handle.
The 29-year-old woman shouted until a neighbour heard her and alerted the fire service. Firefighters broke into the flat in Pemberton Block, Callow Mount, Gleadless, and rescued the distressed woman.

Heh :-)

Next time the hamster does anything I should maybe call the Evening News instead of going to LiveJournal...

Hamsters are the next best munch after lemmings, to an owl. So they say.

But I don't smell like an owl, so they shouldn't mind me!

I am imagining an owl picking off lemmings in mid-air as they leap off cliffs :-)

And the lemmings shouldn't mind either, as long as they are leaping off cliffs anyway. A piece of cake.
