"Your icon doesn't look like you" is a plaintive cry I've heard a few times.
It does now! (I hope.) I'm not convinced, but it was the best of several [livejournal.com profile] major_clanger took.

I haven't consciously let anyone take my picture for years. That's why I use Patchouli as my icon. We'll see next weekend if we recognise each other. ;~)

Very interesting. Its nice to 'see' who I have been writing to. Its a good photo. I hate ALL of mine lately so haven't been able to find one I could use as an icon, maybe someday.

Have you tried taking photos outdoors? Sometimes the more diffuse light gives a more accurate picture. Or maybe have Simon take a candid, not posed, photo. That is, if you're truly unhappy with this icon. (To me, it reminds me off all the photos of me where I have this OMG-someone's-taking-my-photo expression.)
