Silly

Which Doctor Who monsters have appeared in episodes in London, and do I have miniatures of them, so that I could play Doctor Who Monopoly on the London board? ;-)

I have Daleks, Cybermen and a Zygon.

Yetis. On the Underground.

I have a Yeti! Maybe we could have house rules that Yetis get to collect double rent on train stations.

/me thinks you may be thinking about this way too much

/me thinks that Young People These Days have no sense of fun ;-)

The Carrionites from last week, the Slitheen - both of which could be just people miniatures, there must have been something reptilian? A lot of the fun monsters from the UNIT days never made it as far as London, did they?

You need one of these: http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/make-your-own-opoly/index.html

When we created a custom Monopoly board we thought it was easier just to get a London board and modify that - the result was certainly superior, but it wasn't me wot did it, it was Ems [livejournal.com profile] ems_majick - prod her if you want details.

Sadly, it has a grossly simplified version of the rules which removed half the point of playing the game.

Sorry, replied to wrong message. That was supposed to be about 'Make your own opoly' not modifying the London board, which makes much better sense.

I remember now I have several small Christopher Ecclestons I could use.

Dinosaurs, I think

/me goes to look for dinosaurs that look like cheap special effects.

Autons. Wheely bin. The machines controlled from the Post Office Tower.

OK, I am now about to be a sad Whovian bastard and list all the classic-era episodes set in London, with monsters. (This is also asking for me to overlook one, I know.)

An Unearthly Child (ep 1 only): no monsters (in ep 1 anyway)
Dalek Invasion of Earth: Daleks
The War Machines: The War Machines (well duh)
The Faceless Ones (if Gatwick Airport counts as London): Chamaeleons (but good luck finding a miniature for them)
The Web of Fear: Yeti
The Invasion: Cybermen
The Seeds of Death (part): Ice Warriors
Spearhead From Space: Autons
Invasion of the Dinosaurs: dinosaurs
Terror of the Zygons (the end): Skarasen
The Talons of Weng-Chiang: Giant rats and Mr Sin
Logopolis: no monsters in London
The Visitation: Terileptils
Time-Flight: Xeraphin/Plasmatons
Resurrection of the Daleks: go on, guess
Attack of the Cybermen: wonder who?
Rememberance of the Daleks: No idea
Silver Nemesis: bloody Cybermen again
Ghost Light: Light
Survival: Cheetah People

I think I have an Ice Warrior - hooray for sad Whovians!

The Absorbaloff. "Ghosts" (OK, they turned out to be Cybermen). The thing in the girl's bedroom cupboard in 'Fear Her'. The Wire.

Did the Sycorax ever come out of their spaceship in 'The Christmas Invasion'? If so, them. But either way, robot Santas, and of course that spider-queen thing in 'The Runaway Bride'.

House rule: if the Absorbaloff finishes on the same square as you, you miss a turn while trying to escape it :-)
