I have mostly been away with flu, which has rather affected what I could do! Nonetheless...
101 Things in 101 Days
Days 7-12: At home
Completed
9. One final half-day of work. This went to a second day, as I needed to accompany the student to a meeting with an adviser. There will be yet another final half-day in August for resits, but I'm calling this action Finished for now.
32. House-sorting #2 – clean/get rid of rugs in garage
Yay! My Mum has rather taken charge of this, finding a place that is prepared to clean my father's rugs (which are in v. bad condition but used to be valuable). The cleaners are quite pragmatic about whether each is a cost-effective clean. So when my mum visited on Monday we lay the rugs out in the garden, photographed them, and she has taken them away. They're not in the garage any more, so I think that's a result!
86. Some other craft project (I’m sure I’ll get inspired)
This turns out to have been the Diesel Sweeties fridge mosaic...
And 89. Thing which will undoubtedly crop up and need doing #2: has become "reach a new personal best body temperature of 104 °F!
Done that.
Part-finished
22. Read 14 books. I have finished three.
Flicker, Theodore Roszak
Day Million, Frederik Pohl
Thief of Time, Terry Pratchett (why did no one ever tell me that was how you get rid of auditors??)
67. Take a day off from using a computer.
Inadvertently rather than planned...
76. Proofread another 8 pages for Project Gutenberg Distributed Proofreading. Someone put some sf up, which was nice and easy-going :-)
On-going
18. Averaged 3 portions of fruit and veg daily instead of the target 5. As I exceeded the target so thoroughly in the previous 6 days, I'm taking an average and also calling a success here.
24. Walked 1 hour on Day 7, and 1 hour on Day 11. And it made me knackered. It was necessary to get to doctor/work/etc appointments.
73. Morning Pages fell heavily by the wayside. At many points I felt well enough to look at the notebook, but the pen was so heavy...

Today I have been crunching through The Sounds of Spoken English, with all manner of amusing phonetic characters to mark up in a particular way. Well, it keeps me happy! :-)

I've been working on an old baseball book, an Aphra Behn collection, and the History of Women's Suffrage.
It's weird what can be entertaining one page at a time, innit?
