"I haven't the faintest idea how do go about it"

Oh Rahly! ROFLMAO.

I bet you have one or two more clues than *I* do. You totally gorgeous geek. Systemising lace making, honestly, call yourself a girl? ;P

Yah, rly! It would have coordinates, probably - and, I dunno. My main programming experience has involved inputting a short string of numbers and generating a large text file of numbers; I've not written anything which draws stuff to screen, or senses mouse clicks. Also, technology (programming language and processing) has come a long way since 199, um, 5 and C with no +s or #s or anything after it.

Given my feeble protestations above, I could go a long way very fast if I had someone to bounce ideas off, and suggest pros and cons of different approaches. The approach I have most ingrained is not a good one for this problem. And I don't know about graphics.

Geeks with copious spare time/a few hours to point and laugh, apply within...

Um, or I could just Google for "lace software" and find a comparison site...
