We're here! Flight went well (but more intellectually stagnant than, say, a National Express coach journey). We arrived in Auckland around 24 hours ago. The weather is less sunny than I had been led to expect for an Antipodean summer, with clouds and scattered showers, but it is a good 10dC warmer than Cambridge so I can't complain. Look! Look at me not complaining!
Have been out for a couple of walks already, round Auckland harbour and Auckland museum (fascinating exhibition of quilts by Nancy Crow, which
brisingamen might like).
Have free internet access at hotel, however "We would be grateful if you would be aware of other guests also wishing to use this Computer" (i.e. all of them), so, later dudes.
Mwah!
