Hello, AKICILJ -

[livejournal.com profile] flyingsauce is laying out a publication for Concussion; a 52pp A5 booklet, in Freehand. When he prints from Freehand to PDF the file size is bloomin' enormous (16MB), despite it being mainly text.

a) Any suggestions for ways to reduce filesize?

b) Instead of e-mailing such a large file, he'd like to upload it to some webspace and then I could download it. Where might one get hold of such webspace at short notice and with little technological knowhow? This might not be a big problem, I expect my e-mail will handle the file.

Ta!

You know you are actually asleep when you make a cup of coffee and try to put the kettle back in the cupboard... It's odd - I can't make coffee, I can't type (without a great deal of going back for typos), I can't talk straight, but my proof-reading genes are still expressing themselves strongly. Maybe they are working even better than usual, as I can't keep the sense of what I'm reading and am focussed at the word/letter level instead. Tomorrow when I'm awake I'll notice that entire paragraphs are in the wrong order, which I'm missing now! Well, hopefully they won't be wrong.

Something else that is odd (she segues, neatly) is how I have changed between 2002 and 2005, as shown on Hazel's Picture Gallery. My hair has gone incredibly curly all by itself (no perm, honest!) while the rest of me remains eerily similar. It could be worse, I could be wearing the same t-shirt in both pictures. (I happen to be wearing the Wombat one now - not bad for a 1997 convention. Bloody good quality t-shirt.)
