Because in the Heigh Ho sequence, Grumpy is always behind Doc.
(I didn't know this, I had to look it up.) What does this imply about dwarf hierarchy? Doc, the wise leader in front, Grumpy precedes Happy. Are underperforming dwarfs more effectively motivated by a stick than the carrot of relentless optimism? There might be potential in some of the rest of the band of misfits - Sneezy, unless it's swine flu and he's rechristened Sicknote.
But what I mostly am is Bored. If they redid the story today, Bored would so be a character. Who else? Hoodie? Bratty? Twink? And what better way to put together a new dream team than with a nationwide search for talent, a series of Dwarf Idol??

tamaranth diagnosed a growing case of Cabin Feevar before she left for a friend's wedding I am very sorry not to be able to get to. *cheers
ms_cataclysm and The Beermeister!* *throws confetti* (made of sliced dwarfs)
