But this morning, I got a theremin! An actual theremin, made of thereminions or whatever! From eBay! I attached the two antennae, plugged in the power cable, switched it on and - nothing. Waaaaaaaaah! I switched it off and on a few more times and still nothing. tamaranth. She also switched it off and on to no avail, then asked "You see this socket on the front marked 'AUDIO OUT'? Do you suppose it needs an amp or something?"
Doh! Am a twit, but one very grateful for finding this out before she emailed the eBay seller in a panic.
I can play it now, but with headphones (I have no amp) so it looks very silly to an observer.
