According to a shoe store in Colorado, Crocs will shrink if left in a sufficiently hot car. "We will not accept shrunken Crocs for return" said the note taped to the till.

I'd forgotten about the financial hurt. One of my schoolfriends, age 9-10, melted a violin by leaving it in the back of a car. The school made him pay for it.
