"B, I didn't know you drank beer."
"It's not beer, it's Pimms and lemonade."

repeat as necessary

* eventually goes to put a slice of lemon in the glass, to signify its Pimms nature *

"B, why do you have a slice of lemon in your beer?"

Bah.

Everyone had left by 10:30, so I got an early night. I did my usual trick of waking, alert, at 5am; lay in bed for half an hour till it was obvious I would not get back to sleep, so got up to do stuff. And looked at the clock. And saw to my dismay that it was 02:30, not 5am at all. Wah!

Oh, don't stop there. Put an umbrella in that drink, with a cherry. See if you can get a big ol' slice of pineapple.

Actually, it might do the trick if you can just get them to put it in a different kind of glass?

Thank you ever so much, and thank Simon too. Journey home was enlivened by a huge latte and an 8 chunk dairy milk half-way through and was incredibly speedy. I was in bed by 1.45.

p.s About 12.45 I thought it would be funny to do a hugo award/household object quiz.

It really did look like beer you know. Really.

:-)

Maybe I'm oversensitive to beer because I am not drinking much of it nowadays.

Today is a perfect day for Pimms and lemonade. Is it bad to drink before noon?

You could argue that it doesn't count if it's Pimms and a Bank Holiday :-)
Or is that like the drinking game version of Mornington Crescent?
