Fling! Hurl! Toss!

I bumped into one of the neighbours this morning putting their bin out. It sounded fairly empty, so I cheekily asked if they had any spare space I could use. Our bin is small, and I did more clearing yesterday than fit in it. "Oh yes, for some reason we have two bins and they're both only half full - take what you need," they said. So I'm on a raging mission to clear as much stuff out as possible before the bin men cometh. Goodbye, garam masala best before Oct 06! Farewell, my sweet custard powder!

More Free Stuff EDIT: all gone!
Anyone local want a sack of cat litter?
Or a bag and a half of barbecue charcoal?
EDIT: Or a barbecue, slightly used? Otherwise I fear it will go to the tip on Friday.

Wouldn't mind the charcoal, but I don't se any way to get it picked up in time.

Yes, and yes. Shame I didnt actually have time to pop in when I parked on your road on Saturday :-(

I could have swapped you for half a dozen jam jars that I'm about to throw out.

It was my fault really. I thought that the slouch started at 1pm like normal but they actually started at 12 instead.

(I have been recommending they start earlier for years - and when they do I get caught out!)

We could probably take all three. Our huge giant barbecue is going to rust through one of these days and give us a nasty shock.

Excellent. We could drive them round this afternoon/evening?

Yes, I should be in, give the house a ring first to be on the safe side (see http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~rmc28/ for contact details page)

If you're stuck for bin space, we have these giant communal bins at the bottom of our block and they are rarely full by bin day, so I could throw some stuff in there.

I'llo pop round Wednesday about 6 to snaffle up your leftover food.

That might be handy. I'll be washing out the bin this afternoon so it is all shiny clean, but we'll have a week's rubbish to go by Saturday morning.

See you on Wednesday - I assume you would not have wanted some best before last year custard powder :-)

On current usage, the tin I have will supply my custard needs for at least ten years. So no :)
