I have found the buffer options, but they don't seem to be relevant in this case. The effect does not occur when I do an e-mail blink, but it does (twice) when I open memory-hungry Photoshop. Which narrows it down a bit, but I'm not sure to what :-)
I could install the latest iTunes version, or Try Another Browser, or just listen to Paul Hardcastle's hit record.
