We have a tiny, teeny, baby Bambi stapler, which has tiny, teeny staples and doesn't go through many pages. Today I bought a "large" stapler, with large staples, and it balks at a stack of 15 pages. Grrr.

First rule of staplers: no stapler ever goes through more than a dozen pages.

(Except the truly steampunk ones. If it's not a Phil Foglio Agatha Heterodyne clank of a stapler, it's no use.)

I happen to have a spare super-heavy-duty stapler that takes staples up to 15/16ths of an inch. Weighs a ton, of course, but yours for what I paid for it (which I think was a fiver) if you can arrange for someone to pick it up from me at the Tun or something.

But you can buy something equivalent new for around a tenner if you shop around.
