Wednesday was lovely - nice bus journey to Milton Keynes and I got a fair bit of cross stitch done. When I got off the bus, I realised I had left my phone on it. Luckily there was just time to dash back on and find it. After I'd calmed down from that burst of excitement and franticness, I realised I'd also left my coat on the bus...
Visited Naomi which involved chatting, lunching, shopping, strolling through the very pleasant and sunny Woburn Sands (an inland village), napping (me), working (her), and trying on clothes :-) I now have a list of things to buy in Debenhams.
I have a strange affliction when shopping; if I go into a shop with a specific item in mind, it is invariably in the last place I look. This is so invariable that when I'm in a hurry I look in the last place first, and usually find what I seek.
On Wednesday I had the insight that it has a corollary by which I am also afflicted: if I go into a shop with nothing specific in mind, I need to buy everything I see because it's all so neat! I need some sort of personal shopper or shopping coach to accompany me on these trips.
Thursday was more a Do Things To Do day. Little of note happened, other than that the people at Stagecoach's Bedford Lost Property office are absolutely lovely, and arranged for me to be reunited with my coat without having to travel to Bedford!
I didn't go to the Tun, I'm too knackered and stressed after an evening journey to London, and I ended up spending some 5 hours on LJ and making icons like these

(from here. They don't really have my hair.)
I was horrified at the time I'd "wasted", but actually it was really good fun. And a perfectly valid way to spend an evening. Hoorah for having a life again! Hoorah hoorah!
Friday will be again a Do Things Day (once I get off the Internet and away from Spider Solitaire!), going shopping for food and clothes and DIY stuff and wedding anniversary presents with the delightful
major_clanger, and hopefully going to a comedy night later. I do like a bit of stand up comedy - used to go to a place in London quite often, and feel much better for having a really good laff.

Kudos to Stagecoach for sorting your coat, even if they're a bit crap otherwise...
Where's the place for stand-up in Cambridge these days?

I also suspect that it may draw management attention and thus make it non worksafe.
