New Year

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan a stately pleasure dome decree,

this being an attempt to make the 'first line of first post of each month' meme a little better than last year's.

2007 was very full, with a lot of unexpected things.

2008 I'm not making resolutions per se (I have a goal of getting a "proper" job, either permanently or just for the summer) but I do expect to see a lot of changes. Last year I started drinking coffee, and tea. This year I have drunk whisky and liked it. What next - marmalade?

Ah, these words don't go anywhere near what's in my head. EDIT: Being, rather than doing, that's what I'm looking at. Doing the MSc, doing the job hunt, being me in the rest of the time and seeing what that's like.

Not part of my aspirations for 2008! ;-)

Oh, I remember when that song came out, and Relax and Two Tribes, and all the frothing of the moral majority. FGTH were so dangerous and corruptive 23 years ago...
