I have just chopped up loads of veg for a char siu stir fry, including fresh garlic and fresh chillies. I have washed my hands thoroughly, but it may well be possible to detect which cards I've held by a lingering trace of garlic...
First a pomegranate and then a bulb of garlic - I've enjoyed peeling things today, it's like discovering treasure. The leathery skin of the pomegranate hides a trove of edible rubies, while each successive layer of papery white garlic skin reveals a deepening purple blush till you reach the cloves within.
In other news, I want to change my default icon. This 'Bridget Jones' one is getting most terribly old. But I don't think any of my other icons would fit the promotion. Will have think.
