Going for the snip

[livejournal.com profile] surliminal recommended Cheynes for hairdressing, and today I took advantage of their 40% discount for your first cut if you're a student offer. They took a scary amount off - it's a similar length to the userpic but looks more like a 'proper' haircut. And it just gets curlier every year! It feels a lot lighter, and will be easier to look after. As it was snowing when I arrived (early, in fact, earlier than the shop opens so I got to stand around watching flurries for 15 minutes - they're even weirder than mixed flocks of birds) I wanted something that wouldn't need too much protection from the elements.

Person has haircut - who'd have thought?

I'm now in college, waiting for Databases lecture (today featuring going through the code we'll be adapting for our assignments), and wishing there were a hot bacon sandwich. No end of pre-packaged toasties and paninis, but they all have cheese in. There is a haggis and cheese panini. This may cause [livejournal.com profile] major_clanger to rush out from the Law library to the Informatics café :-)

You have it easy

Cheynes used to have wonderfully sfnal posters on the sides of buses: 50m woman (with fantastic hair, fsvo FH) climbing the Scott monument or vaulting the Forth Road Bridge....

I'm not sure if they worked, though.
