Action Bridget Goes to the Gym

I took [livejournal.com profile] ms_cataclysm up on her offer of a gym trip this early evening, I'm glad I did as it's really re-energised me. Just 30 minutes on the treadmill, but at a much faster pace than I usually go round town at, and with a hill programme. Might join for a couple of months :-)

Which gym? I've been thinking I should spend less time walking home and more time doing some other exercise.

Probably Quy Mill; it's terribly inconvenient to get to but [livejournal.com profile] ms_cataclysm is a member and there might be motivation in going together. In the long term I'd like to find somewhere more central in Cambridge.

Me and [livejournal.com profile] beckyc are considering Chesterton Sports Centre, but it's at the wrong end of town for you :/

It looks quite good actually - it's on my way home, so I could use it as a wind-down after work, the monthly prices are good and there's no £150 joining fee or one-year lock-in!

Did I mention I got an exercise bike? It is a recumbant. It is very good for watching in front of the telly.

Does watching an exercise bike help?

Yeah. It guilt trips me into saying to myself

"Why are you watching telly on the couch. Do something more worthwhile instead!"
