I have Wifi! And although I am succumbing to using it for distraction purposes, it has been invaluable in my Semantic Web revision. Want to know more about the RDF / RDFS vocabularies? N3? The Dublin Core? The reference materials are all right there. Want to follow up a passing comment in the lecture notes about the httpRange-14 problem? Google for a quick overview. See a question in the exam on this very topic, worth 12% of the exam total? Be delighted :-) And jammy. Go back to flat. Shower to remove jam. Go bit mad through not talking to people. Blather on LJ to recover equanimity. Databases tomorrow. And jam? Jam tomorrow. It's always jam tomorrow.

What's that when it is at home then?

All the cool kids are talking about httpRedirection-57 nowadays...

Hope the exam went well and that tomorrow's does too.

Speaking of databases, have you seen today's Dilbert?

If you multiply the databases you'll get more data, which can only be good, right?

[identity profile] aardvark179.livejournal.com 2008-05-07 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh absolutely. The more data there is the more you can be paid to do the data mining.

Insert obligatory secret underground volcano data warehouse...

I'm having enough trouble buliding a couple of terminal enclosures and a few manholes, I dread to think what would be involved in creating a valid secret underground volcano base.

Yes, but you'd have one hell of a geothermally-powered UPS.

I've spent some time, recently writing rdf/n3 to describe Cambridge University. This also sends you a bit mad, :). You'd be amazed, for example, how many departments in the University aren't "University Departments", for example.
