I was surprised earlier when my sister sent me photos of my great-uncle's war grave in Belgium, and gmail decided I needed to know about http://www.magicscarf.com/ , swiftly followed by the Google project to calculate and map my carbon footprint.

You can have a special prize if you can work out why searching for Tim Van Eyken got me ads for Greek Orthodox related things. I worked it out, but I wasn't aware their ad words stuff did puns.

there's a classic one that I can't link to because the photo hosting site blocks it for traffic reasons. chap and girlfriend have acrimonious breakup; three months later girl emails to see if they can talk about being friends again; Gmail plasters the message with ads for relationship counseling.

next step, Gmail's Clippy: it looks like you;re trying to have an argument. would you like some help with that?
