I'd always go for music, and Victoria Park's nice enough.

While you're near Mile End you could wander round Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park if you were bored.

Do the bands at Field Day appeal to you?? Does a comics con celebrating 30 years of Luther Arkwright appeal to you? do you have a time machine?

Personally, I think some of the bands at Field Day would be worth seeing and some look rather meh, I'm not sure it's quite as leftfield as they claim, but on the other hand they do have Notwist playing.

I think you should build a time machine, go to both and report back to yourself about which one you should go to, if the resulting paradox happens to destroy the universe then it will save you from such difficult choices in the future.

I'm going to Fairport Convention's Cropredy Festival near Banbury in Oxfordshire instead. Going up on Thursday lunchtime, pitching tents Thursday afternoon and then spending the weekend sitting around with friends, good music, good food and (fingers crossed) good weather.

While Field Day looks okay, Caption looks like ooOOOoooh. Mind you, I know very little about either.

Doh! I knew there was a third thing. Thanks for the reminder. But I am going to be a dreadful cix splitter...
