It's been snowing for three or four hours, and they're predicting 8-12 inches (that's 20-30 cm for those of you using modern units) by the time it's through.
Between Wales and London last weekend I saw about 3 snow flakes but had to over take 3 gritting trucks on the motorway (is it just me that expects the windscreen to shatter as the car is blasted with an increasingly dense hail of grit?)
