That's interesting. When I took my test ('95, in Edinburgh), standard practise was for the instructor to drive you home whatever the outcome...

My instructor drove me home after I passed too, the reasoning being that newly passed drivers would be too excited.

However, that isn't possible when riding a motorbike, so I was happily bouncing along with glee on the ride back to the garage after I passed that test.

I was quite calm till I got home, and now I'm wondering WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I PUT RED BULL IN MY DIET COKE. :-)

Same here. Either way, the school notes people often find it hard to concentrate on calm, careful driving. Seeing as the instructor has been doing this way longer than I have, I decided to go along with this plan.
