Busy

I cleaned the entire house today, from top to bottom, and everything in it! Just the gerbil house, unfortunately the rest is still to do but the gerbils at least are happy confused. So is housemate, as I moved some furniture.

I've had no caffeine for 24 hours and I feel awful, headache, bit of nausea. On Monday/Tuesday I'm getting measured by Medical Science and they want me to stay off the caffeine for the sake of accurate basal metabolic rate measurements. I'll have to try to stay relaxed and calm and not climb the walls begging for coke.

EDIT: And I shan't watch television while ironing, because the television has stopped working. It just seems dead. It was fairly old.

A link just for you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Phodopus_roborovskii_sand.JPG

I was watching Wild China today. Roborovski hamsters are the size of a ping pong ball, and very cute.

Well, a big one might make it to the size of a ping pong ball. :-)

I used to keep them - they're not only adorably cute, everything they do is intrinsically hilarious.

Yes, they're lovely. I wondered about keeping some in The Small Tank but it seems they like a much larger environment.

Gnasher is hanging upside down to nibble cardboard, and looks like a wingless bat.

Used to have a couple of Russian hamsters (not sure if they were the same species but they looked similar) belonging to one of our teachers at work many years ago. They were vicious little bastards.

Russians are the next size up, and do tend to be vicious little bastards (that's why I like them - so cute yet so lethal), but the Roborovskis are generally better tempered, and so small that they can't really get any purchase on you to bite.
