Long Summer Holiday: Back to Work #1

Yesterday it was my induction day with APU. This was held near the Chelmsford campus, they had a bus laid on for Cambridge staff which left at 07:45... Today I am feeling mostly quite sleepy.

Must structure my days properly; I have lots of things to do but end up playing a lot of Spider Solitaire. Today is particularly exciting as [livejournal.com profile] major_clanger is coming home for a few years! So, there'll be a fair amount of house-sorting to get done.

Time to get fit and healthy, too. I'm not overworked, so should not need to resort to overeating to get me through the days. I am also giving up Coke (Diet Vanilla primarily) as I fear I am becoming addicted. 2 pints/day for me is not uncommon.

Blibble. Need lemons.

Waitrose Diet Fiery Ginger Beer. A 2-litre bottle. Every day. Whoops.

Sounds excellent!

BTW, did you just get your TWP?

Yes; I actually wrote a contribution while invigilating, brought it home to type up, thought "when's that deadline?" and Thwap! TWP hits the doormat. Ho hum.

What do you DO with your lemons?

It's just a line that tickled me from the Hitchhikers film (to be said with increasing exasperation and crogglement):
Would you trust the hunches of a man whose brain is fuelled by lemons?

And I thought to myself, "I have hunches like that!"
