I finished watching The Middleman last night, which was good and made me laugh a lot. Pity it got cancelled.

I went through a big stack'o'paperwork at the same time, and thought I'd got 2/3 through my tax return - then I remembered about letting the house out for Actual Cash Money Including Profit in that year. *goes off to look in a whole 'nother place for a new load of receipts* I had a lot more enthusiasm for this when it didn't so closely resemble my day job. Still, I'm collecting stuff for 2008/09 at the same time, so next year's should be easier (apart from the bit where it takes a couple of months for P60s to come through by which time I've gotten distracted by something else).

Ah, my rich and beautiful life, like a Scintillating Jewelled Scuttling Crab that has been smashed with a mallet by a Vogon. Still, the pies were good and I'm seeing Watchmen next week. Also, I'm taking the week before Easter off - off like on leave, off - travelling up to Eastercon on the Thursday, and have preparations to do for that, but hope to make it down to London to see that Tate Modern Constructivism exhibition I couldn't make it to before, or maybe see my mother (who has a pair of tickets for a Vinopolis win tasting). Or something. Or anything! Or walk to Waterbeach, or put together a fanzine, or ...

a Vinopolis win tasting -- sorry, I just love the concept of somewhere you could go to taste different flavours of Win. Well, so many things are apparently made of Win, it stands to reason that there would be different flavours, doesn't it?

We can probably offer you a lift to Eastercon on the Thursday, btw -- we're probably leaving late afternoon.

Oh, that would be great! But not as great as your book, which made me cry. I hope the car journey won't make me cry. I want to get stuck in to the con fairly early, as I'm helping with Gophery Fun.

The marquis has to work at least a half day on Thursday, but we want to be there by Thurs mid-evening at the latest, too, as we're Green Rooming.
I didn't mean to make you cry!
