To ozymandias_cat: I am sorry for maligning you across the Internets, intimating that you had left a woopise on the living room carpet. It was brown and cyclindrical - how was I supposed to know it was only a hairball? Surely hairballs should be round like a ball, and hairy?

Oh I just read your cat diary - it's hilarious. And yes they are hugely long and cylindrical and if you have a relatively hairy cat like me, warm weather is a nightmare of coughing them up. Some pet food helps to stop them shedding and also helps prevent hairballs (breaks the stuff down more or something). That seems to help Schmutz.
