Imminent loss of contact?

My Eee isn't recognising my home wifi any more. I hope it will be okay with hotel wifi, or it's just turned into a small word processor :-(

[livejournal.com profile] tamaranth has led this fossil by the hand along the path of Getting Email On One's Phone though, and it just about limps by while throwing lots of Out Of Memory errors.

Well, for the next few days I will mostly be sitting in the gopher hole.

Double click the connection icon thingy, see the list of everything you ever connected to. Delete them all. Connect to local network - internets come back!

Couldn't type on it, even with my relatively small fingers. My sister was broke and my seven year old niece deserved a nice Christmas present.

I had some problems with my Eee recognizing networks, but they mostly went away after I updated the Bios. (It still won't connect to our home network from the laundry room -- directly under where I usually use it. But it's connecting in the other places where it wasn't before.)
