TAFF 2009 Westbound Race Result

Thank you to all who have supported, nominated, voted, or stood in this TAFF race. This has been a fine race, with 175 votes cast.

Steve Green ([livejournal.com profile] stevegreen) won on the first round with an absolute majority of the first-place preference votes cast and is declared the winner. Steve will travel to Anticipation, the Worldcon in Montréal, in August, and is planning the rest of his itinerary.

Congratulations Steve, and commiserations Tom.

Are you sure it shouldn't be "Congratulations Tom and commiserations Steve?"

KIDDING! KIDDING!

I'm very happy for Steve.

Congratulations to Steve and commiserations to Tom it is.

And good news for the administrators in that good turnout and all those lovely voting fees. Well done to the admins, candidates, nominators and voters on that!

Yes, well done everyone. Congratulations to Steve, condolences to Tom, and a sincere hope that Tom will consider standing again in some future year. I'd be very glad to see him come over on a TAFF trip, too.

Two very fine candidates -- I'm sorry only one of them could win, but Tom has been lovely throughout. And congratulations to Steve.

Thanks to Bug and Chris for all the administration, and to the many voters for fortifying the Fund, and congratulations to Steve!

I've no plan to stand again in the foreseeable future, but much of the future remains unforeseeable, and once I've spent too much time too near [livejournal.com profile] aardvark179 and found myself volunteered for increasingly important roles at larger and larger cons, once my tendrils have grown much frondier and once I have figured out where the sevagram is, it is not inconceivable. Next time <Dr-Evil-Laugh> I will remember to campaign.
