Seeing as I'm on holiday, would anyone like me to send them a postcard? I have been collecting postcards for a long time and I'd like to start using them - first come, first served down the pile. What will you get? A picture of some rather nice Isle of Wight glass? A dodgy photo of a bridge in Wales? A nice but rather clichéd Braque still life?

Comment here if you would like a postcard; e-mail me separately with your address if you don't think I have it. If you have a question, perhaps I could put the answer on the back of the postcard :-)

Please! And something that will freak my colleagues out please as I put them on my office door.

Under the rules, you should get the card purchased on my 1985 school trip to the Rhine Valley, but I'll see what I can do...

Don't your colleagues get freaked out enough when you put them on the door without adding postcards too?

Oops! Was going to have a non-literal-minded week ;-)

Have you got something funny you could send to Mater c/o us? Or we could have the next card in the stack as per the rules, and you could answer some of her questions, like:

"Who is sexier, Robin of Sherwood, or Nasir (ex Castle Belleme)?"
"Should I bother seeing Babylon 5 Season 5?"
"What should I do when G belches, 'Arse'?"

:-)

I do appear to be doing requests. I suppose "Tintern Station Picnic Area" is not that funny...

"What should I do when G belches, 'Arse'?"

Tell him he's a very clever boy and give him a big hug.

They've not reached the hugging stage yet!

I assumed she wanted to stop him belching, and thought that might be a good deterrent!

Ah! G still protects that 'personal space' so vigorously that you're suggesting the nuclear option here :-S

Anything would be welcomed... (Did you ever get my fanzine, btw? A BEAR WENT OVER THE MOUNTAIN)

It would be really silly to send a postcard across town.

I could hand-deliver it. I like walking.

I'm not hand-delivering it, though.

Why not? Just drop by on your way to or from Renaissance Books, or IrishFest, or Asian Moon, or whatever else might lure you to Milwaukee....

Hi! Of course, I'll need to dig out your address though. It'll be great to see you in Glasgow - it's been years...
