Leftovers

If you have an awful lot of hummous, is it a lake or a mountain? It seems it could go both ways...

The European hummous hummock perhaps?

[identity profile] bugshaw.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 07:05 am (UTC)(link)
That works :-)

Glacier - put it in the freezer. :)

What you need is an awful lot of crudities.

A Dollop of hummous?
A Plop of Hummous?
A "Petri Dish" of hummous?
A "Why didn't you get Taramasalata instead of hummous?" hummous?

A splot?

Morass.

Extra houmous is a fine thing.

The other occupants of my house, who hate the stuff, might say "slag heap".

[identity profile] valeriekeefe.livejournal.com 2009-10-10 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
What?! This means Sarah is in some way flawed? I have to call a work crew to take down the shrine now... dammit!

[identity profile] the-local-echo.livejournal.com 2009-10-10 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
I like the idea of "slag heap" though. Potentially dangerously unstable, so needs constant remedial work to keep it safe and stop it toppling... nom nom nom nom nom.

I don't know what it is, but it's nice topped in coarse-ground black pepper and poppyseeds, on the end of strips of pitta. :)

[identity profile] were-gopher.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 01:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Sludge.

[identity profile] valeriekeefe.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I believe I would call it the hummus mountain. Preferably served with the pita forest.

GSOH - good sense of hummous?

I've hung around b3ta too long.

[identity profile] bugshaw.livejournal.com 2009-10-10 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
Wanted: SWF with GSOH (slice of white foccacia with good slop of hummous)

[identity profile] don-fitch.livejournal.com 2009-10-22 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
I've never had enough leftover hummous to try this, but have wondered if it would make (with the addition of, say, chicken stock/broth) a tasty soup. Something in the tradition of Japanese _misoshiro_.
